Bookkeeper – Full Time (37.5hrs per week)

 

We are looking to recruit a bookkeeper on a full-time basis to work at our modern offices on the Broughton Hall Business Park. 

 

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate bookkeeping experience, ideally with the Xero accounting software.

 

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the VAT & Payroll Manager

  • Work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including within agriculture

  • Maintain bank feeds and perform bank reconciliations using bookkeeping software

  • Prepare the VAT returns for a number of clients

  • Become a first point of contact for VAT and MTD queries

  • Support the Accounts Preparation team where necessary

  • Set up new businesses on bookkeeping software, and provide support to the clients as required

 

Requirements

  • Experience with Xero Accounting Software is strongly preferred

  • Confidence in dealing directly with clients via face-to-face or via emails or phone

 

Salary/Hours

  • Circa £20k to £25k per annum depending on experience and qualifications

  • Office hours are 08:45 to 17:15 Monday to Friday

  • 23 days holiday per annum, plus standard bank holidays
